Justice, Mediation & Reconciliation

فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا بِالْعَدْلِ وَأَقْسِطُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ

“Reconcile between them with justice and act equitably; indeed Allah loves those who act equitably.”

Surah al-Hujurat, Verse 9

وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَن تَحْكُمُواْ بِالْعَدْلِ

“and when you judge between people, judge with justice”

Surah al-Nisa, Verse 58

وَإِن طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اقْتَتَلُوا فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا

“And if two parties of the believers argue, reconcile between them”

Surah al Hujurat, Verse 9

وَاِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَابْعَثُوا حَكَمًا مِّنْ اَهْلِهِ وَحَكَمًا مِّنْ اَهْلِهَآ اِنْ يُّرِيدَا اِصْلاَحًا يُّوَفِّقِ الله بَيْنَهُمَا اِنَّ الله عَلِيمًا خَبِيرًا

And if you fear disagreement between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Acquainted [with all things].

Surah al Nisa verse 35

وَجَزَاءُ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِّثْلُهَا فَمَنْ عَفَا وَاَصْلَحَا فَاَجْرُهُ عَلَى الله اِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِّبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ

“The recompense for an injury is an injury equal to it: but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation his reward is due from Allah. Indeed Allah does not love the wrong doers.”

Surah Ash-Shura verse 40

اِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ اِخْوَةٌ فَاَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ اَخَوَيْكُمْ

“The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers.”
